There is truly something SO special about Wisconsin weddings at the end of fall/winter. To describe it to you, it’s cold… cold… sometimes freezing but you know, it doesn’t hold me back from LOVING those wedding days. I feel like we work so efficiently to get all of those perfect shots and details because we have limited time outside. If you have been following me for a while you know how much I LOVE snow which usually happens at every wedding starting in November haha!
Saturday we were SO excited to be shooting at the Ballroom at the Reserve for so many reasons. This was a new venue for us to shoot at, but the architecture is so timeless and beautiful. Another thing is, we were able to shoot 90% of the wedding INSIDE!!! We arrived that morning to see how gorgeous Brandy and her girls looked and we started details inside the gorgeous bridal suite! Let me tell you, venues that have a special spot specifically for brides is a venue that you want to look into!! This bridal suite was so bright, white and simply put – it was elegant.
We shot details and then went into doing a first look with the bride and groom in the ceremony spot. This was SO special for Brandi and Bobby and helped calm their nerves down and get quite a bit of their portraits done beforehand!
From there we went into the short and sweet ceremony between these two, and they placed their vows in a box for them to look into during one of their anniversaries. I love this idea because it reminds them why they started this relationship in the first place and brings them back to their promises between one another.
The day went on perfectly. We went outside for some last-minute “fall” portraits literally right after it had snowed SO much during the ceremony! We honestly were both pretty sad the snow didn’t continue because Brandi loves the snow too! (Duh, she’s an Ashlea Snell Bride! haha)
Brandy and Bobby, I am SO honored I was able to be a part of your day. Seriously every detail, and the people I met made the evening so enjoyable and pleasant! I hope you two have the BEST time in Thailand and I am so excited to watch you two grow closer together!
