Months ago, I partnered with some incredible vendors to create a unique shoot designed to really uproot and help show a lot more diversity within the wedding industry.
We did this shoot in July and then we were thrilled to find out months later that it was going to be the COVER of the 2020 Spring / Summer edition of Wisconsin Bride Magazine! This was a huge accomplishment for me, as there only is two magazines that come out a year.
I connected with a local Wisconsin Planner and we truly decided that we needed to be on top of emphasizing diversity within the Wedding Industry.
We need to constantly be recognizing people of all colors, shapes, and sizes. When we sat down with other vendors to put this shoot together, we also wanted to use other POC in our vendor list. We had an amazing turnout and loved how everyone put their unique vision into place.
We truly hope our friend and clients see the importance of diversifying the industry and letting these photos shine and portray Black people as gorgeous and strong. Those are the exact words we chose when thinking about this shoot. We could have put more details such as a tablescape, but honestly, we wanted to focus on the couple and the unique elements they brought forward. We also used floral art, which we were so thrilled with how it turned out! I hope you love these images!!
