Taylor reached out to me about 10 months ago and started telling me about her incredible fiancé, Abi. Tay and I instantly just clicked. She is so sweet and was so excited to work with me! She and I have talked many, MANY times over the past ten months on insta following each other and on the phone a few times! To say I really knew her vision and her dream of what she was envisioning I knew I could NAIL it.
I flew back from Jamaica from Ciera’s beautiful wedding Tuesday, then hopped on a flight Thursday PM to fly to Milwaukee to shoot this wedding. I really was tired but running on strait up adrenaline as I was SO excited to finally meet Taylor and Abi in person on her big day!!!
I arrived at their house and started shooting details. She was gifted her grandmothers engagement ring and she had a gorgeous peony bouquet. Her details were so perfect in every way, down to ring boxes!! I love when my brides follow the Bridal Guide I give them and just nail getting all the details in place!!
After details we put on her total princess, fairy tale dress (seriously she looked like a princess!) and headed to the Milwaukee Art Museum for their first look.
It was a really beautiful day on Saturday. 85 degrees… sunny… just perfect! When Abi saw Taylor he instantly melted. It was too sweet! We spent some time doing some bride and groom portraits and then headed to the ceremony!
They had an outdoor ceremony overlooking mountains. They got married at the top of a ski hill and the view, especially at sunset was like nothing else. They incorporated many South Indian rituals and it was just all around a very special ceremony.
During the welcome dinner, Taylors mom and dad said they had something special for them… it was a letter from Abi’s parents in India. They were not able to make it due to restrictions and this moment was so special. Abi lost it and there wasn’t a dry eye in there.
At the end of the evening, after the first dances they rushed back to change into a surprise outfit… her custom Indian gown Abi’s parents sent her!! The royal blue gown and soft pink scarf was the cherry on top of the day. Everyone cheered SO loudly as they walked out full Indian attire!! YES!
After their special Indian dance, we went outside to enjoy sunset portraits, an ice cream bar, and a fire pit with smores! Yes, you heard that right. SMORES. Seriously, Tay thought of everything.
AH, Taylor and Abi thank you SO much for allowing me to be a part of your incredible day. I loved love LOVED being a part and can’t wait to see you guys just grow more and more together!
Love you both!!!!
