Back in February, I had the amazing opportunity to take these two out for their engagement session in the beautiful snow at Hartmans Creek State Park. I remember it being a chilly, but beautiful day with the sun just ever so slightly peeking through the trees, and if you know Wisconsin you know that this is RARE in the winter time! These two were just so sweet and adorable together, and I knew their wedding day was going to first of all, come quick, but also that it was going to be very beautiful.
September 29, 2018 did not disappoint. I got there and Megan was stunning. Shellady, her sweet close friend did her makeup for her and literally her face was just glowing of perfection. The girls were so happy and cheerful as they were just relaxing in the basement of the church while they were getting ready for the day. I took her details outside of the getting ready room, and just was loving her stunning bouquet by Forever Flowers here in Waupaca.
Soon after, Megan and her girls put their dresses on, and we headed out to South Park for some photos of the girls! With the beautiful dark green trees behind us, and their cranberry color dresses they laughed off the cold and just were all so photogenic. They headed back to get ready for the ceremony and the guys met us there at the park for some GQ photos. Collin and his guys looks so sharp in their sleek navy suits and bow ties! Being from the South, any time I see bowties I am slowly reminded of how classy they are!
At 2pm, Megan walked down the Isle with her mother and father with tears in their eyes, her father gave her away. This was such an intimate time during the ceremony as this new chapter was going to begin. Their ceremony was so beautiful and filled with so many happy tears.
The bridal party headed out to Whispering Pines for some photos that Megan has always dreamed of having. 17 people on a dock in the water, I joked that I was going to let all of them get on first to see if it would hold! Thankfully the dock was surprisingly strong, and we loved the beautiful lake and trees in the background!
After Bride and Groom/Bridal Party photos we headed back to the Par 4 Resort for the remainder of the evening! Everyones spirits were just thrilled for Megan and Collin. During the speeches, Taylor, Megan’s twin, and Megan’s father brought so many tears to the eyes of so many of the guests. Megan’s family seems so so close, and family is SO important. Its always so amazing to see such heartfelt speeches at weddings. <3
Megan and Collin, Thank you for allowing me to be part of your beautiful fall wedding! I hope you’re having a blast on your honeymoon!!
