When Courtney contact me, she didn’t really know what to do! She knew she wanted incredible photography, but the Resort photographers at Hard Rock Cancun were not her style, and she would have to spend literally thousands to just get 100 photos of the day!
When she asked if I travelled my heart said UM YES, I sure do! I’ve had travelled to Indiana, Texas and Florida for weddings, but this would be my first international wedding (yay!)
I already had everything lined up for travel, so we met and instantly clicked. I knew that April would be a fantastic week for a Destination wedding to mexico!
Sure enough, April came quickly, and sweet Wisconsin got a record snow storm of 26 inches. I contact her, and we would all be flying out a week after the storm, and we were thrilled to see sunlight. When we all got to mexico, the beautiful, hot sun beat down on our backs and we enjoyed time at the beach and relaxed before the big day!
Friday came quickly, and there was a forecast for rain. (seriously, rain in mexico?) I contacted Courtney and said hey, lets try and move it up! The hotel was FANTASTIC with moving the ceremony up FOUR hours, because of the rain. So we got to work! It wasn’t supposed to be until four, so we tried to find all the family and friends there for the wedding to tell them we were moving it way up! Thankfully everyone got out of the pool, and started getting ready!
The ceremony started at 12pm and the sun and the beach were just perfect. Courtney and Mason could not stop smiling as they walked down the isle to get married in the most intimate way possible.
Courtney and Mason, I am SO honored still to this day you brought me to Mexico to photograph your perfect day! I’d do it a million times over. Love you guys!!
