Last April, I had the incredible privilege to head on down to Cancun to the Hard Rock Hotel for Courtney and Mason’s beautiful destination wedding! It was so much fun, and we LOVED the resort! My husband and I are big cruise fans. We personally usually go on cruises for vacations but after last year’s wedding in Cancun, I decided to do some research to find a fantastic hotel for a few days away from this Arctic tundra!
If you have been following me for a while, you know how much we travel. We are always on the go and I’m always up for the next adventure. This time our incredible family friends said they could watch our Elijah for the week. Usually when we head out of town, we drive down to Kentucky to drop Elijah off with my mother in law, but we were so thankful we only had a 3 hour drive to Chicago, then a nonstop flight out of there! What a nice time that we didn’t have to drive the entire time, which is what we usually do when we cruise out of Florida. Its usually a hefty drive!
After much research, I found a killer deal on the Omni Hotel & Villas. The reviews were fantastic and we had flight points to get us down there, so thankfully it we got a great deal on our vacation! After this trip, I joked to some friends that I’m going to become a travel agent haha. I love planning travel and ever since I was younger, I’d help my dad plan out our family vacations and always LOVED doing this.
Anyways! We arrived in Cancun and it was 80 degrees, beautiful sunshine and a light breeze. Cancun is so gorgeous and it always has a light breeze going. If you’re looking for a resort for a wedding, I would HIGHLY recommend them! The staff was excellent and the food and views were hands down incredible. There also were so many places for photos! I couldn’t help but think, oh a bride and groom would look AMAZING here, and here, AND HERE! haha, my photo mind.
This trip was SO needed and it went by too quick. I hope you all enjoy a snapshot of our trip! <3 If you ever need travel advice, I am always more than happy to help!
