The first thing I think of when I think of Amberly and Tanner’s wedding day is the constant Royalton theme song playing EVERYWHERE. Haha
On a serious note, last Saturday I had the absolute HONOR to fly down to Jamaica, 33 weeks pregnant, and shoot the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever had the privilege of shooting. I say that very lightly because truly, all of my weddings are absolutely beautiful in my opinion but It honestly was a combination of shooting my last wedding before baby number 2, shooting an international wedding in Jamaica at such a stunning resort, (finally) a warm January wedding, and photographing the most incredible couple and family members. Amberly and Tanner had over 100 friends and family fly down to Jamaica to celebrate their wedding week!
I met Tanner and Amberly over a year and a half ago to talk about their wedding in Jamaica. It was one of those awesome conversations over coffee about their dreamy, warm wedding on the sandy beaches. If you know me at all, you KNOW how much we LOVE the Caribbean. My husband and I would go 10 times a year if our schedules allowed it. We used to be huge cruisers but after a destination wedding to Mexico a few years ago, we’ve been sold on all inclusive resorts!
We flew down on Thursday morning, and had the two hour drive to Negril! When we arrived at the resort they welcomed us with the most incredible fruit juice and then look over and there was a coffee and ice cream shop (and all the pregnant mommas went, YES!)
The first two days were full of relaxation and location scouting for the day of the wedding! We went around the entire resort many times during the times of the day we knew lined up with the timeline so we could see the sun placement in each one throughout the day! We were SO thankful we did this because it helped the day of the wedding go by so smoothly with knowing what locations to do when!
Saturday rolled around, and we headed right upstairs to start details and start the wedding day! Amberly had 8 bridesmaids and two attendants and guys, they were all SO beautiful! I didn’t think it was possible to have an entire bridal party just be GLOWING the entire day, but Tanner and Amberly’s bridal party proved me wrong! Every single one of them was so down to earth and so caring. The one bridesmaid kept bringing me water and Amberly and Tanner kept asking how I was doing and making sure I was okay (seriously guys, it was their wedding day and they were asking how I WAS.) These two are the most thoughtful people and they have the most amazing family members and friends.
I could go on and on about how perfect this wedding day was, but I also can’t wait for you all to see this wedding! SO, without anymore hesitation I hope you live vicariously through all these photos (and decide to do a wedding in Jamaica and take me back!)
XOXO
