Mitchell and Miranda define fun-loving, adventurous couples in love and this is everything I hope for when I photograph couples. I wish for laughter, and joy, and down-to-earth brides with big hearts for the people in their lives. This is Miranda and Mitchell to a T! I was so lucky to have a beautiful winter engagement session with them at their gorgeous cabin in Michigan last January and their wedding day was even more perfect!
The day started at their beautiful new church building in Appleton, Wisconsin! It was most likely one of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen! The guys hung out, and the girls just smiled from ear to ear listening to Miranda’s favorite songs in the getting ready room! Miranda was surrounded with so much love. I’m pretty sure her heart was exploding with excitement at this point in the day, because she was about to marry the man of her dreams!
After a while, she got her dress on and everyone helped her get zipped up in the dress! She was jaw-dropping and her inner Jackie Kennedy was filling the room more than ever. She has an unbelievable heart for serving and loving others and I find myself always looking forward to hearing from her. This became so apparent when she was surrounded by her bridesmaids as they all were just so excited to be a part of the day.
The ceremony was at their beautiful church and when Miranda walked in, I saw tears flowing on every corner, She was so stunning! They read their vows and had a unity candle. The weather was a perfect 76 degrees with no humidity which was such a treat compared to the three other rainy weddings I’ve been shooting lately!
After the ceremony we took family and wedding party photos and then it was time for the bride and groom portraits!! They took me to the nature center in Appleton, with so much BEAUTIFUL places!! I mean seriously, I got so lucky! I was laughing and smiling like a kid in Disney. I love water, and nature so this was absolutely perfect. After the exciting times at the nature center, we wrapped up the portraits on the property and then went to the supper club to get the party started!! The wedding party had the best entrances I’ve ever seen and the speeches were tear jerking (literally everyone cried when Sam gave her speech!) What a fun night it was!
Miranda and MItchell for all the times I’ve seen you guys, you’ve become such dear friends! You two are absolutely precious!!
I was honestly speechless when we got our wedding pictures back! Ashlea you are absolutely wonderful and will always be my go to for any photography needs. Keep up the amazing work because girl you have some serious talent!!
